Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance

January 1, 2007

Dear Executive Director:

You Can Help Save A Life

Our organization is dedicated to preventing violence against women and children. We have made prevention our mission. Lives can be saved through prevention. In keeping with our mission we are sending this letter to thousands of churches, hospitals and women organizations across the country asking their help. We are asking that the executives of all female organizations distribute or e-mail a copy of the attached flyers to their employees, and group members. The Institute wants to provide information so women can protect themselves and their children. We know we have important information useful to both men and women as fathers and mothers and as husbands and wives. Disseminating this information would cost in the millions of dollars, which is prohibitive, thus our request to you.

As you know, a woman is murdered or raped in this country every day, and this violence continues throughout the year. Since the year 2000 over 13,000 American women have been murdered in this country. Unless a rape or murder is sensational the story is never found in the newspaper. And if it is reported the story is a news blip. Our lives cannot be predicated on the selectivity of the newspaper. Something else must be done to alert the public. We know violence is not a pleasant subject but in reality everyday a number of women are reported missing or murdered. If women do not know how frequently these murders are occurring, they may not be as cautious as they should. There is just not enough information being circulated to the public regarding preventing violence against women. Anyone can be a victim. Everyone's relative is at risk thus our E-Book Campaign.

Do you recognize these names, Christen Marie Naujoks, 22, and Jessica Faulkner, 18. Probably not, these young women were attending the University of North Carolina. They were both murdered within months of one another in 2004. The general consensus is that these tragedies could have been prevented. Women in the United States have made great strides but as we forge ahead we are leaving too many women behind who are uninformed and this cannot be. We have congratulated ourselves too soon because we are still losing women to rape, murder and ignorance.
The purpose of our campaign is we want women to know there is much more to violence against women than a man beating his wife. And there is much more to violence against women than buying bigger and better locks. We want women to know there is nothing more important in life than their safety and women must attend to their safety and the safety of their children everyday. Every one wants their mother; sister, niece, daughter and grandmother to be safe. In Missouri Donald Younge is accused of murdering four women and suspected of a fifth murder in Utah. Also in Missouri Terry Blair is accused of murdering eight women shortly after being paroled. Lorenzo Gilyard is accused of murdering twelve women. Authorities are afraid to consider the possibility that he has killed more women because he is the supervisor of a trash disposal company (remember Christa Worthington). In Indiana Eugene Bri become much more alert to their surroundings, we can prevent their being attacked.

To date we have over seven Career Rapists going on trial for murder in 2005. In California Chester DeWayne Turner is accused of murdering 14 women; Wayne Adam Ford is accused of murdering four women; Andrew Urdiales is accused of murdering five women. He was convicted of murdering three women in Illinois but his death sentence was commuted. California has extradited him because they want to insure he remains subject to the death penalty. He is too dangerous to be paroled. In Indiana Eugene Britt is suspected in the murders of seven women and one child. He was convicted in the child's murder he is now facing two more counts of murder. The prosecutor does not want all of the murder charges blended together. Mr. Britt's IQ is now critical to his prosecution and his defense. Because of the toll the trials were taking on the victim's relatives in Louisiana the state prosecutor has decided not to try Mr. Derrick Todd Lee for any more murders after getting a conviction and a death sentence in two murder trials. Mr. Lee was linked to the murder of eight women through DNA.

You can help save a life by disseminating this information. One cautious thought by a woman can save her life. One woman saying to herself no I do not think I will take this cab, or no I do not think I will let this man install my cable or no I do not think I will let this man in my home may save her life. She will make these statements to herself if she has sufficient information to be cautious. I thank you for your time and assistance. Please e-mail us at yithril11@netzero.net with your thoughts or comments. I pray that this letter inspire you to assist us in our mission.

We are The National Institute of The Study of Violence and in honor of Women's Equality Day and the National Domestic Violence Month the Institute has posted 5 E-Books on our web site for you to read. We believe this information will help save lives. Please go to our website to download the information. Read it then share the information and website with family and friends throughout your community and the country. Violence against women and children is a subject that some people may not want to address but if we all work together we all can make a difference in the quality of someone's life. As you know violence against women and children is a problem in our nation that needs to be corrected. The Institute believes the incidents of violence can be reduced if men and women work together and change therefore we designed two community projects to meet this need. The projects are the Free E-Books and the Women's Art Exhibit. We need your support for both projects.
