The Women’s Partnership
Program
Dear
reader during the development of the eight volumes of “Do This In
Remembrance of Me” it was decided when books were sold during our
Women's Art Exhibit, that 15% of the purchase price of all books sold in this
country and around the world would be donated to charitable and non profit
organizations contributing directly to the welfare and well being of women
and children. Women shelters would receive a 20% donation from the Institute.
The donations will be made as long the eight volumes of “Do This In
Remembrances of Me” were sold. We were making this donation because we
believed the organizations supporting women and children were underfunded and
thousands of women and children continued to live in violent situations
because there are not enough funds available to help them.
The Institute wants to lead for social
change and in order to do so we must set an example of leadership, concern
and cooperation.
The
National Institute of the Study of Violence is dedicated to the prevention of
violence against women and children. We want the violence to stop. Women and
children cannot develop and grow into a family unit if their environment is
filled with violence. We believe the women and children in this country and
the world should benefit directly from our efforts to develop this study.
We
believe the 15% to 20% donation to charitable organization concerned with
women and children will improve the quality of life for women all around the
world and help bring an end to violence. We want to prevent children from
going hungry, feeling displaced, neglected and abandoned. We believe these
factors contribute to the fear and rage that develop in children causing them
to become violent in adulthood.
If you
would like to help in this effort please contact our office to sponsor a book
sale in your church, social club or group the process is quite easy. You can
also contact your employer to have the book purchased for his or her
employees. You or your employer can designate a charity or non-profit organization
from the list below to receive the 15% to 20% donation. The names and
locations of all participating charities and non-profit organizations we have
designated to receive our donation are listed below. Every purchase benefits
one of these organizations. Below is a list of selected women's organizations
and shelters. Thank you for your interest and support. If you believe there
should be an organization added to this list please email us at
Yithril11@netzero.net or write and we will take it from there.
